SUCILPA: Journal of Arts and Culture is a scholarly journal published biannually by Global Cendekia Inti, specifically in June and December each year. The selection of the name "Sucilpa" is etymologically rooted in Sanskrit, comprising two principal elements: "Su" and "Cilpa." The term "Cilpa" in Sanskrit literally translates to "art" or "work of art," representing the entire domain of creative and aesthetic expression that is central to the journal’s focus. Meanwhile, "Su" functions as a positive prefix, meaning "good," "beautiful," or "well-adorned." When combined, "Sucilpa" can be literally interpreted as "beautiful art" or "art adorned with elegant forms." This meaning reflects the journal’s aspiration to highlight artistic works and cultural studies that are not only intellectually valuable but also possess high aesthetic and qualitative merit.
