Abstract

This study aims to develop an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Information System using cloud computing technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services. Medical record management in many healthcare institutions is still performed manually or semi-digitally, causing problems such as data duplication, slow information retrieval, limited data accessibility, and high risk of document loss. Therefore, a cloud-based electronic medical record system is needed to support integrated and real-time healthcare data management. This research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Prototype development model. The stages of the study include requirement analysis, prototype design, system implementation, testing, and system evaluation. The system was developed using Laravel Framework, MySQL database, and cloud server technology to enable centralized data storage and online access. The resulting system provides several features including patient registration, medical examination records, prescription management, laboratory results, doctor schedules, and medical reports. System testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and System Usability Scale (SUS). The testing results showed that all system features functioned properly without major errors. Meanwhile, the SUS evaluation obtained a score of 89, indicating that the system falls into the “Excellent” category and is highly acceptable for healthcare service implementation. The developed system is expected to improve healthcare administration efficiency, accelerate access to patient medical data, and support digital transformation in healthcare services.
