Integrasi Pariwisata Cerdas dan Manajemen Destinasi Berkelanjutan: Tinjauan Literatur Sistematis tentang Bukti Interdisipliner
Keywords:
Smart tourism, Sustainable destination, Destination management, Systematic Literature ReviewAbstract
The development of smart tourism and the demands for sustainable tourism destinations have driven the need for integration between smart technology and sustainable destination management principles. This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of academic literature discussing the integration of smart tourism and sustainable destination management, with a focus on an interdisciplinary perspective. The literature search was conducted through the Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases, using keywords related to smart tourism, sustainable destination management, and big data. From the 120 initial articles, 54 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The review results identified four main clusters: (1) smart governance and data-driven decision-making, (2) the use of big data and social media for destination management, (3) tourist experience and immersive technology, and (4) the impact of sustainability and the phenomenon of overtourism. The study revealed that the integration of smart technology with destination sustainability is still partial, with a dominant focus on the environmental and economic dimensions, while the social and cultural dimensions have received relatively less attention. This study emphasizes the importance of adaptive governance, community participation, and cross-stakeholder collaboration to realize inclusive and sustainable smart destinations. The research findings provide theoretical and practical implications for academics, destination managers, and policymakers, while identifying research gaps that could be the focus of future studies, including the integration of social aspects, long-term evaluation, and destination context in the Global South.
