Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the role of forensic linguistics in connecting language and law, with a focus on syntax, morphology, and discourse as fundamental aspects of legal evidence. The study aims to highlight how linguistic structures contribute to the interpretation of legal texts and the resolution of ambiguities within judicial processes. Syntax is analyzed as the foundation of sentence construction, morphology as the system that shapes word forms and meanings, and discourse as the framework of legal communication. Through the application of forensic linguistic analysis, this research demonstrates that language not only serves as a tool for communication but also functions as credible legal evidence. The findings reveal that forensic linguistics provides a scientific basis for legal interpretation, strengthens courtroom argumentation, and enhances the reliability of legal documents. This study contributes to applied linguistics by positioning language as both an instrument of law and a subject of inquiry.
